Sellers Dorsey is delighted to announce that James (Jimmy) Hatcher, a seasoned health care financial executive, has joined the firm as a strategic advisor. Mr. Hatcher hails from Emory Healthcare in Georgia, where he provided over 30 years of health care financial leadership, most recently as CFO for the organization since 2004. As Sellers Dorsey continues to help providers and states to build and implement impactful Medicaid financing programs, Mr. Hatcher will provide guidance to help ensure access to high-quality health care for Medicaid program participants.
“We are thrilled to have Jimmy join our talented group of strategic advisors and staff,” said Marty Sellers, CEO and Co-Founder of Sellers Dorsey. “His years of experience and exceptional commitment to strengthening access to health care will be valuable to our clients and the individuals they serve in Medicaid within and beyond Georgia.”
Mr. Hatcher served as controller of Emory University Hospital Midtown before becoming CFO for Emory Hospitals, a part of Emory Healthcare. He then went on to his most recent role, in which he served for 17 years.
“I’m thankful for the opportunity to work with Sellers Dorsey and contribute to programs that have such a clear positive impact on access to health care,” said Mr. Hatcher. “It is a privilege to be able to use the knowledge I gained from my career in support of this mission, to strengthen health care for people who need it.”
Mr. Hatcher’s extensive career in health care began in 1983, providing him with intricate knowledge of health care provider finance and operations and the vital role of Medicaid financing programs for hospitals and health systems.
