Sellers Dorsey is proud to welcome Kara Curtis as a Senior Director. She will work to expand our services, driving improved outcomes for providers in key areas, including population health, value-based care, affordability, and quality optimization.
Kara is a dedicated healthcare leader with more than 25 years of experience who has devoted her career to supporting vulnerable populations with complex healthcare needs. She is a proven executive with experience driving growth, profitability, and strategic business development. Her career has spanned government affairs, compliance, product development, and operations. Kara most recently served as the national director of business development & strategy at Aetna/CVS Health working with states across U.S. to increase access to healthcare and social supports for low-income seniors and adults with disabilities.
Kara is dedicated to educating the next generation of healthcare professionals and advocates. She has taught multiple courses in elder care management at Lasell University, nationally recognized for its Lasell Village, the nation’s first senior living retirement community focused on life-long learning.
Kara serves as an advisor for the National Council on Aging, guiding the national redesign of senior centers. She is a contributing team member of Tomorrow’s Women TODAY, a professional community of emerging and executive level female leaders.
Kara holds a BA from Pennsylvania State University, a master’s degree in public administration from Maxwell School of Public Affairs at Syracuse University focused on aging policy, and an executive leadership certificate from Cornell University.
