Sellers Dorsey is delighted to announce Suzanne Bierman will be bringing her knowledge and expertise to the firm as a new Director in Client Servicing. Ms. Bierman is a seasoned health care executive with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful health care programs to improve access, equity, and affordability of care.
Most recently, Ms. Bierman served as the Medicaid Director for Nevada, serving the state during the COVID public health emergency. While at Nevada Medicaid, she assisted with the development and implementation of program enhancements to improve access and affordability of health care, including Nevada’s public option as well as eligibility expansions to improve maternal and child health outcomes. She also developed new managed care requirements to support health related social needs in the state’s re-procurement of its managed care contracts.

Prior to her time as Nevada Medicaid Director, Suzanne worked as an assistant Medicaid Director in Arkansas, overseeing that state’s innovative private option Medicaid expansion program as well as working to support home and community-based services in Arkansas. Additionally, Suzanne has held health policy research roles, has worked for a state hospital association, and for an academic medical center.
Suzanne earned her Juris Doctorate and Master of Public Health degrees from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She has served on the board for the National Association of Medicaid Directors (NAMD), as well as the governance and policy committees for NAMD.
