Before joining Sellers Dorsey, Abigail was a graduate fellow in strategy and planning of Medicaid at the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Health Benefits (DHB). While there, she facilitated the submission of State Plan Amendments and Health Service Initiatives in Medicaid and CHIP in collaboration with several teams. She also presented relevant insights from the analysis of 1115 waivers, 1915(b) waivers and additional CMS guidelines to enhance federal compliance within the Division and leverage best practices as modeled by other states. Prior to DHB, Abigail was a student fellow at the Foundation for Health Leadership and Innovation where she synthesized more than 5,000 state and county-level quantitative health data points to support ongoing grant projects.
As a Consultant at Sellers Dorsey, Abigail supports the timely and effective delivery of client services as well as marketing, sales and business development activities. She researches and analyzes healthcare policy including state and federal laws, regulations, court decisions, and other guidance. Additionally, Abigail conducts topical research and creates written and oral summaries of various analyses. She develops deliverable content and assures quality work products to meet clients’ needs.
