Before joining Sellers Dorsey, Abiola served as Program Manager/Interim Program Director for New Jersey Maternal Health Innovation Program where she managed a multi-strategy program to decrease maternal mortality and severe maternal morbidity for birthing people of color statewide. While there, she co-led the Maternal Care Quality Collaborative (NJMCQC), a multi-sector public committee, to address the causes and consequences of poor maternal health for Black and Brown birthing people in-state. Earlier in her career, Abiola served as Health Program Analyst for MATHEMATICA and provided project management and technical assistance support for several federal projects focused on Medicaid and Medicare program implementation, substance-use-focused 1115 Waiver demonstrations, and special programs for those with workplace-related injuries and disabilities.
As a Senior Policy & Research Consultant at Sellers Dorsey, Abiola helps clients overcome their unique challenges by providing objective advice, expertise, and specialized skills in Medicaid financing, policy, strategy, and management. She supports policy research and analysis regarding Medicaid financing including reviewing and analyzing federal and state regulations and synthesizing available information on Medicaid finance topics. While providing project management support and ensuring client satisfaction, Abiola develops and maintains new and existing client relationships.
