During his long tenure at the firm, Brian has worked on Medicaid Financing initiatives throughout the country. Specifically, Brian managed the design and development of a local hospital provider assessment in Philadelphia, the first-of-its-kind in the nation. This initiative brings approximately $90 million annually to Philadelphia’s safety net hospitals, the City of Philadelphia, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Brian has also worked with public and private sector hospitals and health care associations in the Commonwealth of Virginia since 2014 on a variety of Medicaid financing initiatives.
As the leader of Medicaid Financing products, Brian is responsible for innovating Medicaid financing solutions and collaborating with regional teams to expand these solutions into new markets. He leads a team that includes Senior Strategic Advisors in Medicaid Financing, Research & Policy, and Quality. He has been with Sellers Dorsey since 2003 and has extensive experience leading Medicaid Financing client engagements. He has worked with large health systems and state agencies across the U.S. to develop and implement Medicaid financing solutions to improve access and quality for the Medicaid and uninsured populations. He has a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a master’s degree from Harvard University.
