From 2019 until 2023, Jami oversaw the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), which supports more than 2.5 million of the state’s residents. Under Jami’s direction, AHCCCS received national recognition from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the National Academy for State Health Policy for its innovative approach to solving health care issues with a focus on whole person care and social determinants of health. Prior to joining AHCCCS, Jami served as Medicaid Director for the state of Texas, where she was responsible for administering Medicaid and CHIP programs that supported over 4 million Texas residents. Currently, as Chief Executive Officer and President for JSN Strategies LLC, Jami offers consultative services to states, payers, providers, and vendors serving Medicaid and CHIP.
