John Benz has over 40 years of experience in the health care industry and a proven track record of developing and implementing transformational strategies and fostering collaboration by establishing clinical alliances and securing strategic partnerships to create highly integrated models of care. Prior to working with Sellers Dorsey, John most recently served as President and CEO of Community Care Plan (CCP), the Health Plan with a Heart from 2014 – 2019. CCP services Medicaid, Children’s Medicaid Services Network, and several self-insured employee health plans. CCP is an entity owned by South Florida’s most experienced names in health care: Broward Health/North Broward Hospital District and Memorial Healthcare System/ South Broward Hospital District. Prior to working with CCP, John served as Senior Vice President and Chief Strategic Officer for Memorial Healthcare System (MHS), one of the five largest public health care systems in the United States. In this role, he provided executive leadership and propelled MHS as a leader in providing high-quality health care services to the South Florida community.
