Prior to joining Sellers Dorsey John worked at UnitedHealth Group in several functions within the Government sector. John was responsible for managing innovative behavioral health products and portfolio performance tracking. He also served in a strategic role in UHG’s Medicaid segment working across the business to develop, communicate, and execute short and long-term business strategies. Earlier in his career John was an entrepreneur in the senior housing industry bringing to market several unique housing models for aging adults in need. In his time as the organization’s leader, he wrote and spearheaded state legislation to improve the business environment while partnering with local and state-level providers to identify additional opportunities to leverage the company’s offerings.
John leads business development and expansion for the firm across multiple portfolios and practices in a ten-state region. He is responsible for the identification, development, and execution of new and existing client engagements. John’s experience leading multi-year client and new client strategies in the firm, knowledge of federal and state political environments, and Medicaid financing policy experience informs his ability to evaluate the feasibility and craft strategy for financing initiatives.
