Maria brings over 20 years of healthcare experience to Sellers Dorsey. In her most recent role as the President of M&R Consulting Services, her most important responsibilities included leading cross-functional teams, developing and implementing strategic initiatives, and driving process improvements to optimize healthcare technology solutions and enhance patient care outcomes. As a Program Director for the transformation of case management operations, she supported efforts to implement changes nationally that resulted in a huge decrease in denials. She worked to modernize the health management program for a leading MCO in Pennsylvania to streamline their Medicaid and Medicare LOBs and optimize their operational workflow and meet KPIs. Before her work with M&R, Maria served as the Director of Implementation and Clinical Services at NTT DATA Americas, where she was the operational lead in creating a BPM Center of Excellence (CoE) for an ACO start-up that provides care for Medicare beneficiaries in 3 major markets, which included an SNP product.
As a Director in the National Consulting Practice, Maria provides strategic and tactical guidance to clients, including managed care organizations, provider-led entities, and other Medicaid stakeholders, to help them navigate the complexities of Medicaid managed care more effectively. By supporting Managing Directors in delivering consulting services, she assists clients in optimizing their operations, enhancing clinical care management, and maximizing Medicaid financing and revenue. Furthermore, by offering strategic advice and counsel to Sellers Dorsey’s business partners and other entities Maria works to empower clients with valuable insights and solutions to improve their policies, services, and overall performance, ultimately benefiting their stakeholders and communities.
