Matt comes to Sellers Dorsey from Grady Health System, one of the largest safety-net hospitals in the nation, where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Policy Offer for more than 10 years. In this role, he oversaw all national, state, and local public policy and advocacy efforts. During his tenure, Matt partnered with multiple stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive approach to improve health outcomes and lower costs by transforming how health care is delivered for Atlanta’s uninsured population. His work has resulted in significant funding for the safety net and improvements that benefit Grady’s operations and the community they serve. Matt began his career working on social services and health care issues for a member of the U.S. Senate. He earned his BA from Emory University and an MBA from Yale University.
As a former health care executive with more than 20 years of health care and public policy experience, Matt brings a wealth of relevant expertise to Sellers Dorsey. He uses his expertise in health care policy, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, health care operations, and government relations to manage and provide guidance to various projects related to Medicaid financing and strategic consulting.
