Matt is a nationally recognized expert in Medicaid, state government, health care reform, and long term care. Most recently, he was the founding Executive Director of NAMD, having started the association in 2011, and serving in that role for over 11 years. During his tenure, he propagated NAMD’s mission to develop a community for state leaders to share best practices and develop a unified voice to communicate and collaborate with Congress, the Administration, and other key national stakeholders. Earlier in his career, Matt spent 12 years at the National Governors Association, where he worked on the Governors’ health care and human services reform agendas.
